We’re two (late) twenty-somethings, formerly of the Seattle area (Chad) and a small town on the other side of Washington state (Anna). In August 2010 we finished selling everything and with six suitcases, moved to Southern Germany, entirely for the hell of it. As we (occasionally?) operate on the less-bright end of the spectrum, we chose to move without speaking any German, although we did have a one month apartment rental reserved.
Since then, we’ve both managed to learn enough German to survive, rent an apartment, buy a car and be gainfully employed. Things we’re still not good at but enjoy procrastinating about: understanding official mail.
Unfortunately, the Germans love paperwork and sending official mail.
The intent of this blog is to keep track of all our adventures and appease the parental units while living overseas. Unfortunately, procrastinating finishing new blog posts is very easy.
The name of this blog was inspired by where we met: Math 324 – Multivariable Calculus
In my opinion, our meeting was the only good thing to come from that class. Seeing as Chad aced the class, he may not agree. However, given that our lives are pretty multivariable anyway, between work, travel, families and friends, the name seems pretty fitting.
